The Ford / Mazda WL engine (most commonly known in its turbocharged form as the WL-T) is a highly popular 2.5-litre inline 4-cylinder diesel engine. Developed primarily by Mazda, it served as a primary global workhorse for mid-sized commercial and utility vehicles throughout the late 1990s and 2000s.
