Other uses of brown coir (made from ripe coconut) are in upholstery padding, sacking and horticulture. White coir, harvested from unripe coconuts, is used for making finer brushes, string, rope and fishing nets. Cup cleaning brush is made from coconut fiber and with a long wooden handle. Cleaning a cup can be difficult some times due to the long depth. It is hard to reach the bottom of the cup. Hard fiber allow to clean the bottom surface easily.
