Superb vintage needlepoint tapestry representing a bird of paradise perched on a branch, wings outstretched. The colors of the bird (fuschia, pink, orange, mauve and turquoise) contrast with the blue background and the green and khaki foliage. It is a true work of art hand stitched by a talented craftsman-artist, given the delicacy of the work. Very, very far from the "kitsch" often associated with this kind of work.
