Crafted by hand, this Deanston is first matured in ex-bourbon casks from a family run cooperage in Kentucky, creating its subtle but zesty character. The golden spirit is then finished in virgin oak casks, adding subtle spicy aromas. The result is a dram that warms the heart as well as the conversation. Colour : Amber gold. Nose : Fresh & summery aromas of heather honey & vanilla, green apples, with citrus zest & hints of sweet malt & spice. Palate : Candied fruits, soft creamy toffee, citrus zest & a hint of ginger & clove. Finish : Lightly spiced with a burst of honeyed malt, citrus & sweet oakiness.
